MakeLabs is a solo software studio building Android apps and SaaS products. MakeLabs is operated by a single developer using AI-assisted workflows, and is registered as a sole proprietorship in Karnataka, India under Udyam Registration No. UDYAM-KR-26-0061081.

MakeLabs operates the website at makelabs.io, publishes Android applications on the Google Play Store under the MakeLabs developer account, and operates independent web-based SaaS products under their own domains (see Section 3).

Our mission is to build practical, privacy-respecting software for underserved audiences — one product, one problem, at a time.

By accessing the MakeLabs website (makelabs.io) or using any MakeLabs product, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and customers of MakeLabs.

If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or products. These Terms may be updated from time to time. We will notify users of material changes through in-app notifications or website announcements. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

These Terms should be read alongside our Privacy Policy at makelabs.io/privacy.html, which governs how we handle your personal data.

MakeLabs develops and publishes Android applications and web-based SaaS products. Each product may have its own specific privacy policy or terms that supplement these general Terms. Current products include:

SignaCard and Audio Node are operated as independent web products under their own domains and may have their own terms of service and privacy policies governing use of those specific products. Where a product-specific policy exists, it takes precedence for matters specific to that product; these Terms otherwise apply to your relationship with MakeLabs generally.

New products may be added to the MakeLabs portfolio over time. MakeLabs reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any product at any time with reasonable advance notice where possible.

The MakeLabs website at makelabs.io is provided for informational purposes about MakeLabs and its products. By accessing this website you agree not to attempt unauthorized access, use automated scraping tools, distribute spam or harmful content, or interfere with website operation.

Waitlist signups: When you submit your information through a MakeLabs waitlist form, you consent to MakeLabs contacting you about product updates, early access, and launch announcements. You can unsubscribe at any time by replying "Unsubscribe" to any email.

MakeLabs offers paid subscription plans for Pro features within its apps and SaaS products. Payments for Android apps are processed through Google Play Billing. Payments for web-based SaaS products (SignaCard, Audio Node) are processed through their respective billing providers. MakeLabs does not collect or store payment card information directly.

Current pricing (Shift Desk Pro):

Auto-renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date through Google Play account settings (or the relevant billing portal for web products).

Refunds: See our dedicated Refund Policy at makelabs.io/refund-policy.html.

Price changes: MakeLabs may update subscription prices with reasonable advance notice to existing subscribers before changes take effect.

MakeLabs may issue promotional codes for free or discounted Pro access as part of beta testing programs, early access campaigns, or special promotions.

All MakeLabs intellectual property — including the MakeLabs name, logo, website design, product designs, source code, and written content — is owned by MakeLabs and protected under applicable Indian and international intellectual property laws.

Trademarks: "MakeLabs", "Shift Desk", "SignaCard", "Audio Node" and associated logos are trademarks of their respective owners. You may not use these marks without prior written permission.

Your content: Data you enter into MakeLabs products remains your property. MakeLabs claims no ownership over user-generated content.

Feedback license: By providing feedback or bug reports, you grant MakeLabs a royalty-free, perpetual license to use that feedback to improve its products without any obligation or compensation.

Salary slip disclaimer: PDF salary slips generated by Shift Desk are system-generated documents based on user-provided data. They are not official employer-issued documents. Acceptance by banks or other institutions is at their sole discretion.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, MakeLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of MakeLabs products or website, including loss of data, financial decisions based on app calculations, service interruptions, or actions of third-party services.

MakeLabs's total liability for any claim shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to MakeLabs in the 12 months preceding the claim.

By you: You may stop using MakeLabs products at any time. Cancel Pro subscriptions through Google Play or the relevant billing portal before your next renewal date to avoid future charges.

By MakeLabs: MakeLabs may suspend or terminate access for users who violate these Terms, with or without prior notice depending on severity.

Product discontinuation: If MakeLabs discontinues a product, reasonable advance notice will be provided and active paid subscribers will receive pro-rated refunds for unused periods where feasible.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Udupi, Karnataka, India.

Informal resolution: Before any legal action, you agree to contact MakeLabs at hello@makelabs.io and attempt informal resolution. MakeLabs commits to responding within 5 business days and making good-faith efforts to resolve disputes within 30 days.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in full force.
