01 — Overview
Overview
This Cancellation & Refund Policy explains how MakeLabs handles subscription cancellations, refund requests, and billing disputes for all MakeLabs products including Shift Desk, SignaCard, and Audio Node.
MakeLabs processes payments through platforms depending on the product and purchase method:
- Google Play Billing — for Android app subscriptions purchased via the Play Store
- Stripe — for web-based purchases, SaaS plans, and direct payments on makelabs.io, signacard.cards, and audionode.dev
Important note
MakeLabs does not store your payment card details directly. All payment data is securely handled by Google Play or Stripe. The refund process and timeline may vary depending on which platform and product was used for your purchase.
02 — Cancellations
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel your MakeLabs subscription at any time. How you cancel depends on where you purchased:
Via Google Play (Android app):
- Open the Google Play Store on your device
- Go to Subscriptions under your account
- Select the MakeLabs app subscription
- Tap Cancel Subscription and confirm
Via Stripe (Web / SaaS products):
- Email hello@makelabs.io with your registered email and request cancellation
- Or manage your subscription via the billing portal link sent to your email
- Cancellations are processed within 24 hours
Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the next renewal date to avoid being charged for the next billing cycle.
After cancellation
Your Pro access remains active until the end of the current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier. No data is deleted — you retain all your records, just without Pro features.
03 — Refunds
Refund Policy
MakeLabs offers refunds in the following situations:
- You were charged after cancelling due to a technical error
- You were double-charged for the same subscription period
- The product was completely non-functional for a significant portion of your billing period
- You did not receive what was promised at the time of purchase
04 — Non-Refundable Cases
Non-Refundable Cases
Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:
- You forgot to cancel before the renewal date
- You no longer use the product but did not cancel
- You changed your mind after the refund window has passed
- Partial month usage — subscriptions are not prorated
- Promo codes or free trials that converted to paid — cancel before trial ends
- Refund requests made through unauthorized channels
05 — Promo Codes & Beta Access
Promo Codes & Beta Access
Promotional codes issued by MakeLabs for free or discounted access are non-refundable and have no cash value. They cannot be exchanged for money.
- Beta tester codes are issued in exchange for honest feedback — not refundable
- Early access codes granted through the waitlist are non-transferable
- Lifetime Pro codes obtained through promotions are valid for the lifetime of the product
Lifetime Pro note
Lifetime Pro means lifetime of the MakeLabs product — not lifetime of your device. If MakeLabs discontinues a product, lifetime users will receive advance notice and where feasible, a pro-rated credit toward another MakeLabs product.
06 — How to Request a Refund
How to Request a Refund

Billing Disputes
